A long time ago, in a galaxy far far away, one of Steve's (he/him) theatre professors suggested he take dance lessons to improve his physical acting. Steve heeded her advice, and signed up for a Salsa class, and instantly fell in love with partner dancing and started taking classes in every style he could find. During that time, he sort of stumbled into discovering West Coast Swing, sparking a passion that continues to this day 15 years later. Since then, Steve has become a teacher, choreographer, coach, and community leader, and is a founding member and director of Westie Underground. He definitely still moonlights in other dance styles, with a soft spot for Two-Step, but West Coast Swing is where he's most at home.
Steve's always been a creative and resourceful kind of guy, and loves solving the tough problems both in his career as a software developer, and in his various roles throughout the dance community. He's eager to bring that energy to Swing in Bloom as the Ballroom Manager, and is dedicated to helping the event run as smoothly as possible.
