Pro-Am Jack & Jill

Three dances you'll never stop thinking about

Here’s your chance to show your best self without being able to blame your partner! Dance with (at least) three different Champion and All-Star pros at Swing in Bloom. Discover what you’re capable of in the hands of an expert – and be sure to have a friend get the video!

Strictly Swing

Chosen partner, random song

It’s like getting your favourite dance partner in a final! Sign up with your partner of choice and take on the rest of your division!

Switch Jack & Jill

Harness the chaos

Random partners, random songs, swapping roles. Show off how well you know the dance with seamless switches that make the judges ask you for a private lesson.

Swing of the (Parliament) Hill

Dance it out for a $3,000 prize

A real dance battle, Swing of the Hill is our signature winner-take-all, All-Canadian style contest.

In prelims, entrants are randomly paired into couples. In finals, the top 8 amateur Follows and 8 amateur Leads are paired with pros into 16 final couples. Couples go head-to-head in a single elimination tournament to battle for the $3,000 prize, where each couple takes center stage and makes their opponent sweat.

A panel of five judges choose which couple will move on to the next round. They’re looking to find the couple that wants it most.

The top 2 couples from each Novice, Intermediate, Advanced, and All Star WSDC Jack & Jill Division of the weekend come together in a spotlight competition to cap off the weekend. We ensure mixed-level pairings to showcase the best social dancing of the weekend.

Please read the rules for all our competition divisions.
