YiLin (she/her) was first introduced to West Coast Swing in 2022, and in the years since, has (begrudgingly) fallen in love with the dance. Growing up, she immersed herself in the arts, including training as a classical pianist and lyrical soprano, but photography remains one of her greatest passions. From portraits to pets, couples to streetscapes, and more recently dance photography, YiLin loves capturing the joy in everyone’s lives and telling their story from behind a lens. As the resident photographer of the Rideau Swing Collective in Ottawa, YiLin has brought a smile to many local dancers by capturing their best moves on the dance floor.
